TUIO Parent FAQ
TUIO supports schools and daycares with enrollment, billing, and collecting payments across North America.
Using TUIO provides the following benefits to families:
- Access to and ability to update student records and family profiles
- Access invoices at any time once they have been issued
- Electronic alternatives to postdated cheques
- Auto-recurring payments and automated one time payments
- Emailed invoice notifications and payment reminders to avoid NSFs
- Register for programs online
- Responsive and friendly support team
It depends on the kind of programs you get enrolled into. For instance, monthly tuition fees are recurring in nature and in this instance, you only need to provide your agreement once at the beginning of the school year and you are set for its remainder.
Other program types fit better the one-time payment model and thus will need to be confirmed each time (such as a one-time discretionary field trip activity for instance).
The application will always show you a 'scheduled invoices' outline at the time of payment set up so that you know in all transparency what you are giving your agreement for. Any changes to the amount or timing of this schedule require in-app approvals from you so you are always in full control of what is paid out of your account.
Please note that TUIO does not store any sensitive financial information, such as your bank account or credit card details. Instead, those data points are encrypted as soon as you enter them, and they are transmitted to the financial institutions that need to know them in order to transmit your funds. For the data points that TUIO does store in order to let you access your TUIO account, such as your email address and TUIO password, TUIO works with the industry leader AWS (Amazon Web Services), which is Amazon’s branch for server infrastructure. AWS offers the most secure cloud infrastructure on the market.
