When a parent stops paying
This is the part of billing nobody plans for, and it is where the choice of payment method matters more than anything else on this page.
If a family pays by cheque or by bank debit and stops the payment, the school has no way to dispute it. What is left is a collection agency or a write-off, and neither is something a school wants to do to a family it will see at pickup.
A card payment is different. A parent who disputes it raises a chargeback, and a chargeback can be contested. With the enrolment agreement the family signed and the record of what they agreed to, TUIO files the dispute on the school's behalf. TUIO's support team has done this successfully in the rare cases it has come up.
