Referral Terms & Conditions

This TUIO Referral Program Agreement (the “Agreement”) is between TUIO and the person making a referral (“you”). It sets out the terms on which the TUIO Referral Program operates.

Please read it before taking part. By making a referral, you accept these terms.

Definitions

An eligible referral is an organisation you introduce to TUIO that is new to TUIO, signs up, and goes live. Going live means it collects real payments from real families through TUIO — a completed billing run, not a test transaction. Either plan qualifies, and there is no minimum size.

An ineligible referral is any of the following:

yourself, or an organisation you own or work for
an organisation that is already a TUIO customer, or has been one
an organisation TUIO has been in active contact with in the 90 days before your introduction
a duplicate introduction of an organisation someone else has already introduced
an organisation that is not genuinely independent of you, or that appears to have been set up mainly to obtain a referral reward
a test, demo, training or internal account
an account that signs up but never collects a real payment through TUIO

The test is whether the organisation and its use of TUIO are real, not how big it is. A three-child daycare that genuinely runs its billing through TUIO is an eligible referral. A hundred-student school that signs up and never processes a payment is not.

The reward is $250 for each eligible referral.

How the programme works

There are two ways to make a referral:

Introduce us by email. Write to the person you have in mind with [email protected] copied in. The buttons on the referrals page do this for you, with a short note already written.
Ask us to reach out. Use the form on the referrals page and we will contact them, mentioning you.

We will take it from there — answering their questions, showing them the platform if they want to see it, and moving their data across. You are not expected to sell anything.

You do not need to be a TUIO customer to take part.

The reward

$250 for each eligible referral. The same amount whichever plan they choose. There are no conditions on their size, the tuition they charge, or the pricing they end up on.

Paid within 30 days of them going live — not when they sign up. In practice that means after their first billing run.

That 30 days is also the qualifying period. If the organisation stops using TUIO before the reward falls due, we will not pay it. We do not reclaim rewards that have already been paid.

You choose how to receive it:

credit on your TUIO account, if you are a customer
a gift card
a donation to a school or charity you name
a bank transfer, by arrangement

Tell us which when we get in touch. There is no limit on the number of referrals you can make.

Any tax arising on a reward is your responsibility. If you work for an organisation with rules about accepting benefits connected to purchasing decisions, the donation option exists for exactly that reason.

Prohibited uses

You may take part only in good faith and for lawful purposes. You may not:

refer yourself, or use alternative contact details to do so indirectly
create duplicate accounts, or encourage anyone else to
send unsolicited or bulk messages of any kind to promote TUIO, including spam
advertise or bid on TUIO’s name or trademarks in paid search
imply that you speak for TUIO, or make claims about TUIO that we have not made
breach any applicable local, national or international law or regulation
do anything that could reasonably be seen as damaging to TUIO

Abuse of these terms

TUIO may withhold a reward where it has reasonable grounds to believe the programme has been used in breach of this Agreement, and may end your participation.

Where a referral is declined, we will tell you why.

Limitation of liability

TUIO accepts no liability for any use of the Referral Program that does not comply with this Agreement.

Changes to the programme

TUIO may:

change these terms or the reward at any time
end your participation in the programme
end the programme entirely

If the programme ends, rewards already earned before it ended will still be paid.

Changes are not applied retrospectively: a referral you have already made is governed by the terms in force on the day you made it.

Applicable law

This Agreement and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation, including non-contractual disputes or claims, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of the province of Ontario, Canada. Notwithstanding the foregoing, this Agreement shall not prevent any party from complying with all applicable laws in the jurisdictions in which the Members operate.
