Northstar Montessori on TUIO

My name is Virginia Ramirez and I am the Principal at Northstar Montessori located in Mississauga, where we educate close to 300 students every year. I have been an owner and operator of this school since 1996, so I have seen the changes the years have brought to the field of education.

We used to work with our financial institution and a program originated in British Columbia to manage our student fees electronically. It was a straightforward tool, but we had to input the data information at a specific time slot and push out the payments every month manually and reconcile every month as well. There were about 10 business days spent in processing all this and it was time consuming. With TUIO, I saw how all of this can become automatic.

It has been a very positive experience to use TUIO. Just like anything new, there were a few steps here and there that I needed clarification. We had to change a few processes around to make sure the payments came in when we needed to. Once those changes were made, it all worked out great.

I have enjoyed using TUIO. It is easy to use. Once the TUIO team trained us how to do things, it became easy to make changes. The whole payment process is now transparent both for us and the parents as well, which is a great advantage. The parents get invoices ahead of time in their email, they get to see when their payment goes through, and they get receipts right away.

The majority of parents accepted the new program as it is on their part to setup their information. The majority of them are very happy with it. A few parents were hesitant in using TUIO due to concerns of privacy and protection. The team once again came through to provide the assurance of security to put their minds at rest.

The TUIO team has been very responsive when I needed help. They have been reliable and easy to get in touch with. They explain things well, and I have even recommended it to other school owners.

The team has also been open to feedback and I see that some of the things I have suggested is actually getting implemented! It is good to work with a company that responds to my needs so closely.
